Lip Fillers
Thin, lined lips can be tell-tale signs of aging, and by subtly addressing these concerns, you can change your overall look. Lips are one of the first features people notice, so why not pucker up that pout?
Nurse Zayra is well-sought for her work and can help you achieve adored lips in no time. Lip fillers contain Hyaluronic Acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body that’s responsible for keeping the skin firm, elastic and supple. They’re a great way to enhance your look with minimal invasiveness.
Candidates
Lip fillers are minimally invasive, non-surgical procedures that can help turn back the clock and restore the lips to a more youthful appearance. They’re effective for all types of lip shapes. The ideal candidates for lip fillers include:
- Adults who may be unhappy with the size or shape of their lips
- Healthy individuals
- Individuals who don’t smoke
- Patients that have realistic expectations
What to Expect
Nurse Zayra values her patients and takes her time to address any questions you may have regarding the procedure while also discussing your aesthetic goals and expectations. Once she’s approved your candidacy for lip fillers, she’ll create a tailored plan according to your needs and requirements. In addition, you need to reduce or limit certain medications you’re taking that can further aggravate bleeding or bruising.
The procedure is straightforward and begins with applying a topical numbing cream to the lips so that you can remain comfortable throughout the process, as the lips are highly vascular and are rich in blood supply. From here, nurse Zayra will inject the lip fillers slowly, gently, and strategically to meet your aesthetic goals, compliment your features and reduce swelling and bruising.
Recovery
The great thing about lip fillers is that they are minimally invasive and require almost no downtime, which means you can return to your daily activities immediately after receiving lip filler.
Following the procedure, you may experience the following symptoms, however, rest assured that these are common and tend to subside within a week:
- Tenderness
- Swelling
- Bruising
- Mild discomfort
After the treatment, we discourage patients from massaging or touching their lips needlessly for at least six hours. You may apply an ice pack or cool compress to ease any discomfort you’re experiencing. While these symptoms generally subside in a few days, it’s always best to plan your treatment two weeks before any special event
Results / Longevity
You’ll be excited to hear that lip filler results will be visible immediately after the procedure! Once any swelling or bruising subsides, you’ll be able to see your pout feeling extra smooth, plump, and luscious. Depending on your lip anatomy and the type of filler, results tend to last between 6-18 months.
Less is more when it comes to lip fillers.
A common concern we encounter is the fear of ending up with duck lips. Zayra pays attention that while she adds volume to your lips and helps create better symmetry between the top and bottom lip, she makes sure to do it as seamlessly and naturally as possible. The aim is to enhance your features and not change them completely.
In addition, results from Hyaluronic Acid lip fillers are reversible, which ensures patients have the freedom to change their lips at any given moment. However, before finalizing your decision, it’s a good idea to wait for the swelling to subside so that you have a better idea.
